I love when a bride comes to me with a vision of her wedding and I get to add to that vision.  When I met with Jodi and she told me of using tree stumps for her flower displays and the beautiful trees at the ceremony, I jumped at the chance to incorporate them into the design of the cake..... amazingly she thought it was a great idea!

Calamigos Ranch, nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains, just a short drive from the Pacific Ocean is such a wonderful place to hold your wedding and reception.  With five areas to have your wedding, there is something for everyone.

Jodi & Steve's cake fit right in with the tree stump theme of there wedding.  Oh, I love these fun cakes!

Spanish Hills Country Club Wedding

Spanish Hills Country Club Baseball themed wedding!

What a fun couple Jadey & Joe were. I knew from the moment I met them that their wedding and cake was going to be fun.

The cake was themed after Wrigley Stadium in Chicago, one of the couples favorite places!

Love the Baseball themed cake topper!

The Candy Buffet added fun for all the guests.  There was even foil covered chocolate balls to look like baseballs.

A custom sign was made just for the newlyweds to look like the sign at Wrigley Field.

The dining room at Spanish Hills Country Club looked so pretty with just a touch of pink

Cake Camp 2011

Green Valley Ranch Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Green Valley Ranch Resort located minutes from the Las Vegas Strip is an oasis in the desert.

The site for Cake Camp 2011 was an amazing resort complete with convention hall, banquet rooms, casino, shopping district, swimming pool and spa. 

Amazing teachers such as Colette Peters, Mike McCarrey, Marina Sousa, Debbie Brown, James Roselle and so many others were all present to teach more than 500 attendees of the camp. 

Cake Camp wouldn't be complete with out a Cake Challenge during the Friday night banquet.  The theme of the cake challenge was In the Vineyard and Ruth Rickey lead her winning team to Victory!

The banquet tables were all decked out with decorated cakes.  This one is a Carrie Biggers aka Carries Cakes original.

Thank you to the volunteers from the California Cake Club who put in countless hours to make Cake Camp such a success!!!

I LOVE delivering cakes when everything is perfect!

From the moment I arrived, and was greeted by the groom and the groomsmen, I felt the magic. 

The cake was so refreshing.  The monogram on the bottom tier was copied from the invitations.  The stencil was custom made to also match the invitation. The little yellow balls were carried out in the reception decor.

Lori!!  Seriously, amazing and wonderful, just as expected. We had an incredible wedding and feel truly fortunate to have had you on our team. The cake was delicious, everyone was dying over both flavors! Also, the gluten-free gals were in heaven, one of them said it as the best gf cake she has ever had! Debbie of Floral Fields is so creative.  The table cards were all hung between two branches, topped with flowers.  Each guest had their own card complete with a pin with their picture on it.  So Creative Debbie!

Each table had a different photograph of the family and friends.  Vintage bottles added to the festive decor.

Spanish Hills Country Club Wedding

The dining room of Spanish Hills Country Club has never looked more beautiful than when I delivered a wedding cake this evening.  Spanish Hills is located in Camarillo California perched on a hill with the Pacific Ocean in the distance.  The brides Uncle did an amazing job with all the flowers, and there was an abundance of them!  

This wedding cake was designed after the brides wedding dress.  The sugar flowers were all had cut and embellished with tiny silver dragees to match the dress. Floral stenciling was added under all the applique flowers.

Angel and I wanted to thank you for the awesome job you did on our wedding cake. All the little details from the ribbon to the flowers matching my dress, it was stunning...I was more than happy with the cake, it over exceeded my expectations and even for Angel who was somewhat hesitant to add the flowers he just loved the balance of the extravagant detail I wanted with the classic simple lines he wanted.  It was the perfect blend of US represented in the cake.
Our guests keep telling us how good the chocolate raspberry cake was they love the combination plus the moisture of the cake.

Fresh roses separated the top two tiers and a custom base was designed to hold 50+ roses.  The effect was stunning and exactly how the bride envisioned it.

I was lucky enough to enjoy a visit with the bride and groom before the reception.  It's such a pleasure to help make a day memorable for such a sweet couple

The flowers were amazing.  I've never seen Spanish Hills Country Club looking so beautiful!

Walnut Grove

I really love cakes that I get to adorn with Applique Flowers.  You can do so much, the creativity is endless.

This cake was delivered to Walnut Grove in Moorpark California.  Walnut Grove as the name states is a wonderful venue nestled in a grove of Walnut Trees in Moorpark California. 

From the moment I arrived to set up Melissa & Neil's wedding cake, it was a magical moment.  The entire area was filled with wildflowers in wonderful vases, old watering cans and cute little wooden signs depicting the different areas.

This was the head table and there were so many cute accessories, jars and vases that the wildflowers were displayed in.  Megan of Honey and Poppies did an amazing job with all the flowers!
