Rancho del Cielo

Ranch in the Sky Wedding!

Rancho del Cielo is perched on a mountain top in Malibu, California high above Pacific Coast Highway.

This White Chocolate Lemon Raspberry Cake was adorned with beautiful fresh flowers to match the centerpieces and decorations of the reception.

The cake was decorated with fondant swirls in pale white, pink and violet.

Hundreds of fresh flowers waiting to be placed on the tables.
Flowers by: Marion Curson Floral Design

The ceremony site has an amazing view of the coastline and Pacific Ocean.

The reception site has both a view of the ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains.

Loved the custom card box for the bride and groom.

Oh and how cute is this little man!

Some of the groomsmen having a laugh before the fun begins!

Just had to get a picture of the grooms shiny shoes and my cute pink shoes!

Rancho del Cielo is a really a special place to start your lives together.

Congratulations Elizabeth & John

The Mountain Mermaid

Went to a wonderful new venue this past Saturday in Topanga, California.
It is one of those locations way deep in the canyon, you would never know was there.

The Mountain Mermaid was originally built in the 1930's as a Country Club, later it became a gambling house, then a gay night club and on and on it went.  More history can be found on their website

Three individual cakes were created all with applique flowers.  The 3-tier cake had a lime green tint to it to coordinate with the color scheme.

The main room of the house is used for the dining room, as you can see there is a lot of character and so many colors can be incorporated into the decorating.

The escort cards were all framed in little antique frames for the guests to keep.

This antique bird cage was draped in foto's of the bride and groom.

The venue was full of mermaid items.  This bust of a mermaid was safely stored in a glass case.

Congratulations to the happy couple......
Katharina & James!
