Went to a wonderful new venue this past Saturday in Topanga, California.
It is one of those locations way deep in the canyon, you would never know was there.
The Mountain Mermaid was originally built in the 1930's as a Country Club, later it became a gambling house, then a gay night club and on and on it went. More history can be found on their website
Three individual cakes were created all with applique flowers. The 3-tier cake had a lime green tint to it to coordinate with the color scheme.
The main room of the house is used for the dining room, as you can see there is a lot of character and so many colors can be incorporated into the decorating.
The escort cards were all framed in little antique frames for the guests to keep.
This antique bird cage was draped in foto's of the bride and groom.
The venue was full of mermaid items. This bust of a mermaid was safely stored in a glass case.
Congratulations to the happy couple......
Katharina & James!
