One Thousand Doves!

Dove Soap, a sponsor of the Oscar's ordered 1,000 Dove cookies.  

With just 4 days to make the dough, bake the cookies, decorate the cookies and bag them all up a team of great ladies all got together to bag them up and drive them out to Hollywood.

Fun to drive down to the middle of all the action on Hollywood Boulevard.

It takes so much manpower to put on a show like this, and this was just the outside of the theater.

All the boxes were dropped off at the staging area inside the El Capitan Theater, awaiting all the hungry show goers.

Fun to see them setting up for the Good Morning America show for the next day!

Doesn't matter how many times I have been to Hollywood, it's always fun to read the stars on the Walk of Fame!

Another wonderful Wong wedding!

It's always so wonderful to watch a very special couple get married.

Our families have been friends for over 26 years and have watched the groom grow into the amazing man he has become.  So happy he has found his wonderful bride and look forward to watching their family grow.

Their wedding was very earth friendly and this naked cake fit the bill perfectly.

Each guest was asked to leave a note for the newlyweds and attach it to the frame.  

The paper rosette backdrop was made by the bride.

First of all, any event held at Hummingbird Nest Ranch is magical.

Hidden away in the hills above Simi Valley on 123 acres, Hummingbird was originally build as a world class equestrian estate.   Built in 2004, the estates main house includes over 17,000 sq ft., 6 guest homes, 60 horse stalls and a helipad.  Amazing views and landscaped ground add to the magic of the area.

Every time I am lucky enough to deliver a wedding cake to the estate, I am awed by the beauty.

The cake was displayed in a covered area with such a pretty chandelier over it!

Reception area all decked out with pink tablecloths and pastel colored roses.

The floral arrangements were mixed glass containers overflowing with roses.

Hummingbird Nest Ranch is a 123 acre estate nestled in the Santa Susana Mountains of Ventura County, California. It is a world class Equestrian Facility featuring 60 top notch horse stalls. 

Home to many weddings, special events and movie & TV filming.

 

The theme was a rustic shabby chic and the cake was created with a edible tree climbing up the cake.
